Good catch

I watch the Glenn Beck show today. It was a very good show to me for a lot of reasons. It spoke to individuals and he spoke in paradigms. This potus is maiming our country. This has begun before he came along but now is growing at leaps and bounds. People other then eye open conservatives are starting to see the picture and the slippery slope we have jump on.

New Post

Feeling a little down today. Just thought a quick post would be a good idea. If you have a blog then you should at least write in it. I saw a t-shirt blurb that I thought was funny. It goes "Some people are like slinkys, there really no good for anything but always bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs."

May 4th

Just had my 20 yr anniversary. Such milestones bring thoughts of looking back and comparing different times and places. I can't help thinking "what if I knew now when I was back then". I am still following the 16 year old sailing around the world on her own. Most 16 year olds are so unsure or at least uncomfortable with themselves. (Me included.) Even with the internet and other connections with civilization, a person would have to come "face to face" with one's self. I guess I have noticed this because I have struggled with my identity for so long. Some people are so comfortable with who they are and others seem to have nothing but questions after questions. How do others see me? How do I see me? As God breathed life into me as I was knitted together in my mother's womb, my body type, mind and personality were attached to me to be formed during life; but they are not me. People have families, jobs and hobbies but these aren't truely their identities either. People define others that cross their path by their behavior or job or how they spend most of their time. Ultimately, we are each an indivudual child of God.

Abby Sunderland

I have been following the exploits of the 16 year old as she sails around the world. Her auto-pilot ckonked out so she is denied the "unassisted" part of the title. That doesn't mean that she hasn't earned soemthing that she'll own for the rest of her life that no one can take from her. If I were her, I'd have some words with the auto pilot people. Still, is has been great following her blog. It seems our country is going places it has never been and no one knows what the future brings. This 16 years old has shown (or is it reminded) us to pursue our dreams. This is the highest kind of leading by example. I don't think that I'll sail around the world but maybe, just maybe, I'll clean the basement. And then, start that thing I always meant to start. You never finish if ya don't start.

Wow

Almost a month since my last post. I signed up for a Christian seminar that starts in a couple of weeks. I take these things really seriously and apply myself rigorously. I have come from the depths of despair to life altering epiphanies. I've been examining things about myself that I really dislike. The more in-depth I look, the more I realize that somewhere along the way I was convinced of my wrongness yet see no avenue of logic around it.

Pro-choice only "pro" for one choice

If you've heard of Tim Tebow these days you may not be only be a football fan. Focus on the Family (God bless'em) Shelled out a couple of million for a short commercial spot during the superbowl. This instigated numerous protests because the Heisman trophy winner's mother describes her run in with those who would have her abort her child and her decision not to. She chose not to abort her baby and evidently this is the wrong decision for those who would have the commercial spot pulled. Wouldn't that make them pro abortion instead of pro choice? There's a TV show during the morning hours of the week day who's purpose is to dispense the cultural Kool-aid of what we all should be thinking. It's called the View. One panelist named Joy Behar disputed any relevance of the notion that this would be an argument about abortion because their is no way of knowing weather a person will be good or bad at birth. The point the pro abortionist is missing is that it's a good idea to not abort (kill) a baby for a number of good reasons and it is not a good reason to abort (kill) a child in case the child might turn out bad. The lengths pro-abortionist go to for spin is revealing in of itself. There have been those people who say hide your bibles or keep them at home for decades now in this country. This is a direct assault to slowly take God and ethics out of our country. I remember a Stephen King tv movie called a Storm of the Century. The antagonist requires the village give up a child to his evil self or the whole village perish. Previously, the evil one visited a similar village generations ago and the whole village suffered death rather them give up one of most vunerable members to be raised by an evil being. The modern day village however choose to give up one of their own for their own survival. The story went on to describe how the village suffered for their choice and how their lives were forever changed. Certainly today, the pro-abortionist would have no qualms about giving up one of their own? Who in this culture would stand up and forfeit their life to protect a child from the evil one?

National Health Care or Else

The GOP winning the seat held by late T Kennedy is good for anti big government types. It's a step in the right direction anyway. No one saying that this Brown guy gonna turn out good or worse but it's for sure he's better then the alternative. The Obama/progressive agenda is still in play. A 40% tariff on anything that isn't a national single choice health plan except for the unions, who get a break for a few years. Why is it always the unions with this President? Of course the break for the unions will be extended until the only thing without the national health care plan will be union shops. Do you think this will be used as leverage to make any and everything unionized? Noooo, not unions. They are never corrupt or do things under the table like that. (Sarcasm). The handwriting on the wall is so blatant that it bleeds through anything used to cover it. The ability of the little guy to prosper in this country is at stake. You can't have an elite class (oligarchy) without a proportionally huge lower class to support it. The cap and trade bill is another vehicle that is a means to this end.
